Belle Property set new Forresters Beach record
Cathy Baker has achieved a new suburb record in Forresters Beach with the sale of an iconic beachfront reserve property at 65 Forresters Beach Rd. The stunning holiday home was sold in excess of $5 million, smashing the previous record by almost a million dollars.
Designed by local architect Max Thitchener, the oceanfront property features galleries of glass that frame the views from every vantage point. Set over three levels its mezzanine design reveals multiple living areas complemented by soaring ceiling heights.
According to CoreLogic, the previous record for Forries was set 12 years ago at 14 South Scenic Rd, sold for $4.3 million right before a market downturn in 2008. Since then, all sales in excess of $3 million have been achieved by Belle Property on the Central Coast. In 2016, Cathy Baker sold 10 South Scenic Rd for $3.95 million, the highest price seen in the suburb for eight years. “I have a lot of affluent Sydney buyers looking for holiday houses in the area,” Ms Baker said.
“People see Forresters Beach as a quiet alternative to Terrigal or Avoca.” Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, holiday houses appear to be in hot demand on the Central Coast at the moment. Just this week, Evie Adasal and Ben Bedford from Belle sold an Avoca Beach apartment at 2/7 Cliff Ave in just five days.
The property was purchased for $2.3 million, which was $100,000 above the agency agreement. The buyer was a Sydney investor who saw potential in the perfectly located apartment.
